Richard Killingsworth, MPH

A collaborative leader with extensive experience in multiple health promotion, public health, and health care settings. Made significant contributions in health promotion by advising projects in over 300 communities; presenting at over 100 national conferences; authoring over 30 publications; and collaborating on research with the Centers for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, National Academy of Sciences, and the World Health Organization. Coordinated legislation and national efforts with the White House, Secretary of HHS, and Congress. Provided Congressional testimony and technical assistance to federal agencies, national organizations, state and municipal agencies and elected officials that shaped national health policy. Directed several multi-million dollar health promotion initiatives and managed assets up to $240 million. Leadership philosophy is shaped by a commitment to servant leadership, civic participation, lifelong education, and a healthy lifestyle.
