Rob A. Simmons, DrPH, MPH, MCHES, CPH

  

 Dr. Simmons has been a public health educator for over 40 years working with government, community health organizations, private health foundations, healthcare organizations and in academic public health programs.  He is an Associate Professor and Director for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program for Thomas Jefferson University’s School of Population Health in Philadelphia.  Dr. Simmons’ professional background and research interests are in community health education, health promotion and disease prevention, health literacy, and global health.  Dr. Simmons is a Fulbright Specialist Scholar in Public and Global Health, is the Associate Co-Editor of the Global Health Department for the journal, Health Promotion Practice, and is the Co-Chair of the Global Health Community of Practice for the Society of Public Health Education (SOPHE).  He has worked internationally in many Latin American countries.
